My designs are individual, hand drawn plans produced as a result of careful listening and understanding of the client's styles and wishes, excellent plant knowledge, local knowledge, a clear way of communicating ideas to the client and many years of experience. 

 

Plans are hand drawn, to scale. They begin with a concept plan in which ideas about how the proposed garden might look are communicated with a scale drawing. This is followed with a working plan which includes all the details required for the build, including materials specifications and a detailed planting plan.

I work with a wide range of garden styles:

•  small cottage gardens

•  wildlife gardens

•  contemporary garden rooms 

•  gardens for evening entertainment

•  peaceful areas for contemplation

•  seaside gardens

•  tough planting surrounding children’s play areas;

•  front gardens

•  large formal gardens

•  public areas

 

Much of my earlier work was in the Swindon and north Wiltshire area, but I now live and work in North Powys, and have been designing gardens in North Powys; Shropshire and Cheshire for the last 7 years.
